With every passing day, more people are becoming interested to introduce even the products in our lives. The synthetic drugs that are available in the market are great for reducing the symptoms of the disease. This is, of course, the health conditions that it is specially created to curb. To increase the bioavailability of the CBD chemical, brands combined the chemical together with carrier oils. These carrier oils can be olive oil, coconut oil, or hemp seed oil. However, in this article, we will mostly focus on cannabinoid oil. This oil is also known as cannabis oil. This is because it contains a combination of various cannabinoids in addition to CBD. It may include THC, THCA, CBG, and so on. Read on as we investigate into this phenomenal world of CBD and cannabinoid oil.

First Things First, What Is The CBD Chemical?

First Things First, What Is The CBD Chemical?

The CBD chemical stands for Cannabidiol. It is a naturally occurring chemical cannabinoid that is found growing in the cannabis city were planned. It has an anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant effect. This, in turn, makes it really good for improving the health and well being of various users. In fact, in addition to adults, children and teenagers can also take advantage of CBD.

Since the CBD chemical mostly interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS system), there are a few other interesting facts. For example, since bets also have an ECS system, they can also take advantage of the benefits provided by CBD.

There is a common myth as per which CBD creates a state of high. The reason why people assume it is because CBD is derived from the cannabis plant. However, they could not have been further away from the truth.

The CBD chemical is a non-psychoactive element. It simply means that it cannot create a state of euphoria even after it is used in higher amounts by the user. You can take advantage of the benefits that CBD has to offer without any risk of getting intoxicated.

CBD oil can be sourced from different parts of the plant. In other words, CBD can be derived from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of the cannabis plant. You can take advantage of the therapeutic and holistic effects that the body has to maintain the overall functioning of your body.

The CBD chemical can be great for reducing the risks of cancer. And, maintaining heart health. It is great for reducing high levels of anxiety, depression, and hypertension. Even patients that are suffering from cholesterol. And, obesity can take advantage of CBD. Using CBD oil can be a great solution for multiple problems, for sure.

It is the presence of another chemical cannabinoid called THC which is responsible for the high that is associated with cannabis. We will discuss THC in greater detail later on in the article.

Is Cannabinoid Oil Legal Or Illegal In The United States Of America?

Are Cannabinoid Oils Legal Or Illegal In The United States Of America?

There is a lot of controversies when it comes to the legal status of CBD. If you would have asked this question a couple of years back, we would have told you that it is not legal. But, with changing times, many reforms have taken place in terms of the official laws.

In 2018, the United States of America passed its Agricultural Bill. This bill is more popularly known as the 2018 Farm Bill. With the passing of this well, things changed a lot in the hemp hemisphere.

As per this bill, the citizens of America were free to grow and cultivate hemp plants. That, in addition to the cultivation and growth, the citizens are also free to use products that were direct derivatives of the hemp plant. This included CBD oil that was extracted from the hemp plant. Having said this, the federal government put up two conditions. These two conditions were as follows.

  1. The CBD oil has to be extracted from the hemp plant itself.
  2. The CBD oil should not contain THC traces greater than 0.3 percent.

If any of these conditions were not met then the CBD oil will be deemed as illegal in the eyes of the law.

The bill put forward a condition that was as follows:

The extracted CBD oil should not contain THC traces that all more than 0.3 percent, by dry weight.

You see, CBD oil that is derived from the marijuana plant is still illegal across the United States of America. And, even if you use CBD oil that comes from the hemp plant. But, the THC traces are more than the minimum limit then the oil will be deemed as illegal only.

We would like to give you a bit more insight into these conditions.

You see, the cannabis Sativa plant contains 80 to 200 different types of chemical cannabinoids. Each of these chemical cannabinoids has its own features and properties. Out of them, the two most prominent cannabinoids are, of course, CBD. And, the THC chemical. We would like to point out that THC is actually the majority portion that makes up the cannabis plant.

Now, we already know that CBD is a non-psychoactive element. It is actually the presence of THC that creates a state of euphoria that is commonly linked to weed or cannabis. This is mainly because the THC chemical is a psychedelic element. In other words, when it is consumed in higher amounts, it creates a state of high for the user.

However, this does not mean that THC is a chemical that is harmful to the body. In fact, on the contrary, just like CBD it is good for our well-being. THC can act as a mood enhancer. And, reduce the tendency to feel nauseous all the time. It can also reduce cancer risks and similar health conditions.

It is due to this very reason why many cannabis users combined together with various cannabinoids. This combination reaction is known as the alternate defect. Under the entourage effect, the created CBD oils are amplified. This means that their overall potency. And, effectiveness becomes even greater than it was individually. The most common CBD oil is created under this reaction The most common CBD oil is created under this reaction include Full Spectrum CBD oil. And, the Broad Spectrum CBD oil.

Now, we would also like to point out that Full Spectrum CBD oil contains the THC chemical. But, the other amplified CBD oil which is the Broad Spectrum CBD oil does not contain THC. The latter oil remains a combination of various cannabinoids excluding the THC chemical.

Returning back to the topic of legal status, we will now focus on the mother plants.

You see, when the CBD oil is extracted from the hemp plant it will have different characteristics. This is in comparison to the CBD oil that is extracted from the marijuana plant.

The hemp plant has a greater amount level of the CBD chemical. It contains THC but it is mostly on the negligible side. If we were to be precise, hemp does not contain THC traces greater than 0.3 percent. Not only does this make the overall effect of the plant non-psychoactive. But, it also abides by the conditions that were set up by the law.

On the other hand, the marijuana plant has characteristics exactly opposite of the hemp plant. What we mean to say is that the marijuana plant has a bit of concentration of the THC chemical. We can place the total amount level anywhere between 20 to 30 percent. It is that CBD chemical that marijuana has on the lesser side. In other words, the marijuana plant has a more psychedelic nature.

Now, when you extract the CBD oil from the respective plants, it is only logical for it to reflect the same features. For example, CBD oil that is derived from the hemp plant will have a greater concentration of the CBD chemical. And, the total THC level will always be below 0.3 percent. But, when the CBD oil is extracted from the marijuana plant, it will have nearly 20 to 30 percent presence of THC. The total presence of CBD in CBD marijuana oil will be on the lesser side.

To conclude, if you were to take into account the conditions of the federal government. Both are met in the case of CBD oil that is extracted from the hemp plant.

The other issue that you need to take into account is that of the different state laws. You see, the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill is very recent. As a result of this, not every state has had the chance to fully embrace the CBD chemical. Due to this, there are a few states who have strict laws against CBD oil use.

The main reason why there are different state laws is because of their basic rights. Yes, the United States of America has given every state the right to formulate and put into effect their own policies. As a result of this, we can divide the different American states into three categories when it comes to cannabinoid oil.

The first category of states refers to friendly states. This means that the states have allowed its citizens to freely use this oil. Both, the recreational as well as medicine to use of cannabinoids oil remains legal in such states. The most common examples include Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and so on.

The second category of states refers to the grey area states. These states allow the use of this oil. But, it is restricted to the medicinal purpose of it. In other words, the citizens of such states are not allowed to CBD oil for recreational use. And, if they are found violating the terms, they can get into trouble with the law. The majority of the American states fall under this category.

The third category of states refers to the extremist states. As you might have guessed, the states do not allow the recreational as well as medicinal use of this oil. South Dakota, Nebraska, and Idaho are a few of such states. Now, this does not mean that the states have outright banned CBD oil. They have only put up a lot of restrictions on the ownership and sale of cannabinoid oil.
